Link Group acquires Primary Superannuation Services

Link Group (“Link”) today announced it has acquired the Primary Superannuation Services (Primary) business based in Melbourne. Primary has 130 staff and has been very successful as a superannuation administrator since its inception in 1998.

John McMurtrie Managing Director, of Link and CEO of AAS said “Primary has carved out a niche in the superannuation administration sector and has also been very innovative in its product offerings.”

“With its strong Melbourne base the acquisition provides additional resources and capabilities in the very important Melbourne market” McMurtrie said.

Kevin Beasley from Primary said “Link is well capitalised and is committed to investing further in our business. They are already in the superannuation administration area. Link has also acquired a number of businesses and is skilled in integrating and adding to capabilities for our clients.”

Beasley went on to add that “…our staff will benefit from the training programs in place at Link and the opportunities from being part of a larger group committed to the financial record keeping space”

Beasley also commented on Links strong commitment to risk management and compliance.
