Site navigation

Our website has been designed to make finding information as easy as possible. There are several options available to you for navigating our website, including:

  1. Primary navigation bar - For accessing the main areas of the website.
  2. Secondary navigation menu – For accessing deeper content.
  3. Support navigation – Found in the footer for immediate access to general and Help related site information, tools and functions.
  4. Registration & login - Access to interactive online services such as your Portfolio.
  5. Search function - A key word search of the site.

Primary navigation

The primary navigation bar is found at the top of every screen and links you to the key areas of the site. These menu items are persistent and appear on every page providing a constant and familiar model for navigation.

Secondary navigation

The secondary navigation menu will appear at the right hand side of a page depending on what item is selected from the primary navigation. This menu permits access to deeper content contained within each of the key areas of the website.  In some cases, a third type of navigation or 'optional' navigation will appear below this allowing access to related content, promotional material or additional functions on the website.

Support navigation

The support navigation is found in the footer of each page and gives access to support related pages such as this Help section, contact information or the site map.

The support navigation includes links to the following pages:

  • Home - Direct link to the Home page of the site, which can also be reached by clicking on the Link logo on any page
  • Sitemap – A dynamically generated, visual overview of the entire site
  • Contact Us – Contact information for all methods of communication
  • Privacy – A link to our Privacy Policy
  • Help - General help information about the website
  • Glossary – A glossary of common financial terms

Login & registration

Located in the top right hand corner of every page are links to the login and registration functions of our website. Existing registered users will be taken directly to their Portfolio once they have logged in, while those wishing to register will be taken to our registration page. Remember that you must validate at least one of your holdings before you can progress through to the Investor Service Centre.

A link to our Help section is also provided with login and registration for your convenience.

Search function

If you are unsure about the location of information on our website, try the search function. The search is located at the end of the primary navigation bar. Simply type in the key word(s) you are looking for and a results page will be returned to you with the closest matches to your search. A linked title, 'meta' description and location will be shown accompanied by the context in which your keyword has appeared. Click on the option that matches your request to go directly to the page.

Key words may be entered separated by spaces. If you don’t find what you are looking for, try progressively narrowing down you search terms.

Search criteria and valid methods of searching are being improved on our website and will soon include wildcard and Boolean search functionality, sorting, date ranges and ranking, introduced with an advanced search page.

Currently the search functionality is very simple. Please note the following characteristics of the search engine;

  • Any special characters such as punctuation are ignored (i.e. only alphabetic characters / digits are accepted)
  • Keywords less than 3 characters long are ignored
  • It is possible to separate keywords with 'and' / 'or' - BUT parentheses are not accepted
  • By default, 'and' is assumed i.e. ALL keywords must be present

Example:

  • Keyword 'capital' -- pages with the word 'capital' in any content paragraph
  • Keywords 'capital markets' -- pages with the word 'capital' AND 'markets'
  • Keywords 'capital and markets' -- same as above
  • Keywords 'capital or markets' -- pages with the word 'capital' OR 'markets'

While is possible to string multiple operators together (e.g. 'capital and raising or IPO') - this type of search is not as reliable at this stage. This will be improved over the next few months.
