Accessibility statement

Link Market Services is committed to ensuring that the content of this website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people using assistive or adaptive technology.

Over the past year, we have taken steps to improve the accessibility of our website by making every reasonable effort to ensure that this website accommodates priority 1 and 2 standards set out in the New Window W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Guidelines. We aim to meet complete remaining priority 1 and  2 web standards in 2008 followed by priority 3 standards conformity where possible by 2009.

Key steps have included improving page formats to better conform to screen readers, providing clear and persistent navigation, removing unnecessary pop up windows, and ensuring pages validate to published recommendations. While some areas of the site have been adapted quite quickly, other areas such as those incorporating Javascript to enhance usability of the system, will be further enhanced over the coming year.

Adobe Acrobat documents, or PDF’s, are used widely on our website to ensure sensitive documents are secure and accurate. We are making every effort to improve the accessibility of PDF documents found on our website.

If your screen reader is not compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe provide a New Window free online tool which converts the content of PDF files to a format which can be understood by most screen reader applications. The URL of the documents can be submitted either via email or web form, and the content is returned, converted to HTML or to plain text to your web browser. Adobe also provides a New Window guide for using accessible PDF documents.
